As salaamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Insha'allah this finds everyone in the best of health upon attaining taqwa. My zawj and I need to know is there a ruling on getting married under the laws of a non-islamic country? for the reason that we have small children and if something was to happen to my zawj we wont our children to recieve his benefits insha'allah. Insha'allah if anyone has heard or read about this can you please post the daleel.
