"UNDERCOVER MOSQUES"

Undercover Mosques
Abu-Khadeejah Abdul-Wahid

In English
This Friday Sermon discusses many of the recent events that have taken place in the UK and specifically in Birmingham, whereby certain sections of the press have somewhat sensationalised and exagerated the erroneous activities of some Muslims in Birmingham and around the UK.
These organisations and mosques portray Islaam in a bad light, not truly being representatives of the Prophetic Mission of the Messenger Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). So it is upon every capable right-minded Muslim caller to clarify to Muslims and non-Muslims that we are not pleased with these Muslim 'Preachers' and that they misrepresented Islam in many matters.

Also that it is incorrect of the media to use the term 'Wahhaabi', since: i) Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhaab (died 1206 AH) was not an extremist and, ii) The term itself is derogatory, iii) This term was invented by those harbouring enmity to the Salafis as means of belittlement of the Shaikh and the Salafi Methodology which pre-dates Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhaab by over a thousand years. iv) There is no Islamic School of thought called 'Wahhaabi'.

The true Salafis are attached and affiliated to the Prophet and his Companions primarily, then to the Scholars of every era, and that includes, amongst thousands of others, Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhaab.

In the same week, nine people were arrested, under the suspicion of terrorist activities. So the sermon makes clear the position of the Salafis towards these types of arrests, as well clearly stating the Salafi position towards rebellion, terrorism, excommunication (takfeer) and the Jihadists.

A lecture well worth listening to!

Co-Existing In Non-Muslim Societies

SHAIKH IBN AL-UTHAIMEEN ADVISES MUSLIMS HOW TO LIVE AMONGST NON-MUSLIMS IN THE WEST?

quote:

This advice was possibly the last this noble Scholar gave to Muslims in the West before he passed away - in a tele-link with Salafi Publications in July 2000. Note that this advice came before the September 11th 2001 attacks in New York, before the Madrid train bombs and before the July 7th 2005 tube bombings in London. So the advice is not driven by a desire to rectify in hindsight, but a sincere and truthful desire to guide and advise the Muslims in the West on how to co-exist in the correct legislated manner.
