Assalam U Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh

I have been suffering from acne spots for the past 6 years now and over the years it got worse and worse, untill now i have many red spots and alot of scarring especially on my left cheek, whenever i look in the mirror these days i pray the dua for lookin in the mirror and i feel distress when seeing my face, also when i am around alot of people some of them they look at me as though i am infected with a horrible disease and this causes my stress to increase, i wanted to get some advice on how i should deal with these spots and of any possible remedies that brothers used that work, also the scarring causes me too much distress and although i had it for few years now, i have not adjusted to it, everytime i see the mirror it looks fresh as though it had just happened, i wanted to get laser skin treatment to help reduce the appearance of the scars and i wanted to know if it is permissable in islam for me to do this?

Please help a brother out, these spots and scars made me loose interest in so many things and i want to practise the deen fully but sometimes even the spots it seem to hold me back.

I ask Allah to guide us all. ameen

Bismillaah Al-Hamdulillaah

Wa 'alaykum u salam wa rahmatullaahi wa baarakatuhu,

Do not consider this an answer to your question, but I can direct you to Hisnul Muslim "The Fortress of the Muslim," which has some du'aa for the ill and sick, as taught to us by Rasool Allaah (salallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam).

I say to you one of the many du'aas the Prophet taught to say to the sick: la ba`s tahooran in shaa` Allaah (Don't worry, it will be purification, inshaAllaah)

Also, you may want to read this: When afflicted with calamity, people divide into four levels

Subhanak Allaahuma wa bihamdika ash-hadu anlaa illaaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk

If I said anything correct, then it is from Allaah (subhanahu wa taa'ala), and if I erred, then that is from me and shaytan.

As`Salaamu Alaykum,
Dear brother may Allah great you ease from your worries and heal you ameen. The first thing
you should do is clean your system inshaa-Allah. Try to search for a colonic therapy practitioner
near you. Problems with acne usually begin from within and are a result of a bad diet. So
cleaning the colon will remove built up toxins from your body and begin the healing process.
You may at the same time look for an herbalist who can recommend herbs that will purify your
blood. After that, always make sure that you monitor you bowel movements as well as one
should be relieving himself atleast 2-3 times per day. If not then take an herbal laxative inshaa-
Allah

Fasting never fails and you should drastically increase your intake of water. Leave off junk food
and soda entirely as well as foods rich in thick sauces and salt like curry dishes. Leave off bread
too as sometimes the yeast and or soy can cause acne or boils. It may take a few months to heal
but with patience I'm sure you'll see the difference inshaa-Allah. Then slowly you can introduce
little things back into your diet and you'll know right away if that particular food item is harmful
for you. Your problem can be a result of allergic reaction to certain foods or the ingredients
contained in them.

Try not to use acne products on your face as most of them only overdry the skin. Simply use
soap if any at all and warm water. Apple cider vinegar is great for cleansing dirt from the skin.
Apply it to a cotton ball and wipe your face and you'll see what I mean. Always keep a clean
washcloth for your face and don't pick at pimples or scars. Wash your face atleast 3 times a day
one being before you go to bed.

Going to a dermatologist is helpful but problems with acne start within. Follow these steps first
and once you've gotten everything under control consult one. I've read before from Shaykh Bin
Baz rahimahullah that consulting a doctor and getting treatment for these types of matters is
permissible but don't have it to post so maybe someone else can inshaa-Allah.

May Allah grant you ease and bring you a complete healing, ameen.

was-salaam

salamu alaikum akhy

try al qist al hindi its a blood purifier. the filth is in the blood and thats why u get all these spots. when u drink al qist al hindi it will clean away all the filth that is in the blood. this is why those who have sihr use al qist al hindi. im not saying u have sihr but i mean the outside shows whats in the inside.

i tried al qist hindi for spots and its realy working. its working fast too. the only thing is that u need to go to the toilet many times because all the filth goes to the Urinary bladder.

so i advice u to do hijama and use al qist al hindi. u can use it many times a day. mix it with hot water and litle bit honey inshallaah.

as salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

My advise is to stop using any soap and other products on your skin and instead wash only with water. These products make the skin too dry and then the skin reacts to protect itself.

So only use water and when you dry your face do not scrub the towel, because it damages your skin.

The brother mentioning the diet is right. Sometimes certain food products cause acne. If you find that your acne is some days worse than others, please try to remember what you eat the day before and perhaps you will find that you are alergic for something.

One very common one: CHOCOLATE

Akhee, my advise is to try a certain medicinal honey which has been shown through scientific research to be anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. This honey is called Manuka Honey and is from New Zealand. It comes in different grades, and you would need a high grade such as UMF15+ or UMF20+ or UMF25+.

This honey is used internally but also externally on the skin. It is used for infected wounds, burn wounds, acne and eczema amongst others.

Anyway, you can buy this honey at the Salafibookstore in Birmingham. A jar of 500 gram UMF15+ Manuka Honey is 21,- pound, which is much cheaper than you'd find in most shops selling Manuka Honey.

The Manuka Honey could help because the cause of the acne could also be a bacteria. Whatever the cause it will help healing wounds and scars insha'Allah. So please apply it daily as a face mask and leave it for at least half an hour and wash it of carefully.

May Allah cure you and make things easy for you dear brother.

As Salamu alaykum,

Amin Abu Nouhad
