How to Write Without Disobeying Allaah (For Students of Knowledge, Publishers, Teachers, and Parents to Convey to their Children)

Excerpts:

quote:
Now, that it is established - with proof - that writing can be a means of attaining nearness to Allaah, you should write in accordance with what was sent down by He Who created us and commands us to worship Him alone, singling Him out in all acts worship, such as du'aa, seeking refuge, reliance, sacrifice, prayer, hajj, zakat, fasting...

Allaah says (what means): And I (Allaah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). (Adh-Dhariyat: 56)

The material's authenticity and correctness is a heavy part of the quality of writing - without it, the material rather becomes a fitnah (trial) and a burden for the Ummah (Muslim nation). How many deviants and innovators have lured people with their seemingly beautiful words, and led people astray by them, thus dividing the Ummah and putting the Ummah to trial?

quote:
Abu Hurayrah (radiallaahu 'anhu) reported that the Prophet (salallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said: A man may utter a word pleasing to Allaah without considering it of any significance, but for which Allaah elevates his ranks (in Paradise); another one may speak a word displeasing to Allaah without considering it of any importance, but for which he would be plummeted into Hell. [Bukhari]

quote:
While it is not obligatory on every Muslim to write about Islaam, it is obligatory on every Muslim to be in accordance with what Allaah commanded. So whether you're writing a book, a term paper, or even an email, your material cannot oppose what Allaah revealed.

quote:
Passing the TEST of Allaah should be a priority - even if it means you "fail" the test of a deviant teacher, or a corrupt boss.

Subhanak Allaahuma wa bihamdika ash-hadu anlaa illaaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk

If I said anything correct, then it is from Allaah (subhanahu wa taa'ala), and if I erred, then that is from me and shaytan.
