An-Nawawee Confirms This In Sharh-Saheeh Muslim
Imam An-Nawawee rahimahullaah Confirms This Claim Of Abee Haneefah rahimahullaah & Koofeeyeen!
وَاخْتَلَفَ الْعُلَمَاء فِي مَنْ شَرِبَ النَّبِيذ ، وَهُوَ مَا سِوَى عَصِير الْعِنَب مِنْ الْأَنْبِذَة الْمُسْكِرَة ، فَقَالَ الشَّافِعِيّ وَمَالِك وَأَحْمَد - رَحِمَهُمْ اللَّه تَعَالَى - وَجَمَاهِير الْعُلَمَاء مِنْ السَّلَف وَالْخَلَف : هُوَ حَرَام يُجْلَد فِيهِ كَجَلْدِ شَارِب الْخَمْر الَّذِي هُوَ عَصِير الْعِنَب ، سَوَاء كَانَ يَعْتَقِد إِبَاحَته أَوْ تَحْرِيمه . وَقَالَ أَبُو حَنِيفَة وَالْكُوفِيُّونَ - رَحِمَهُمْ اللَّه تَعَالَى - : لَا يَحْرُم ، وَلَا يُحَدّ شَارِبه ، وَقَالَ أَبُو ثَوْر : هُوَ حَرَام يُجْلَد بِشُرْبِهِ مَنْ يَعْتَقِد تَحْرِيمه ، دُون مَنْ يَعْتَقِد إِبَاحَته . وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَم .
The Scholars differed(referring to Abee Haneefah & Kofeeyeen rahimahumullaah) upon drinking of wine made from dates (Haraam-Nabeedh) and it is other than the intoxicated drink made from grapes (Grape Wine there is no differing-All say its haram). Shafýee, Maalik and Ahmed rahimahumullaah and majority of Ulamaa from the Salaf and Khalaf have ruled that IT IS HARAAM and the one who drinks it should be flogged whether he believes it to be permissible or impermissible. But Abu Haneefah and the Koofiýeen rahimahumullaah said: IT IS NOT HARAM and there is no HADD (punishment of flogging) upon the one who drinks (intoxicated nabeedh made from other than grapes like dates, barley, honey etc.) it. And Abu Thawr rahimahullah said it is haram and the person who drinks should be floggedý.Allahu Aýlam.

Ibn Taymiyyah On The Reality Of Madhaahib & Sects Amongst The Muslims
المنتسبين إلى السنة فالكلابي يقول ليس الكرامى على شيء والكرامي يقول ليس الكلابي على شيء والأشعري يقول ليس السالمي على شيء والسلمي يقول ليس الأشعري على شيء ويصنف السالمي كأبي على الأهوازي كتابا في مثالب الأشعري ويصنف الأشعري كابن عساكر كتابا يناقض ذلك من كل وجه وذكر فيه مثالب السالمية وكذلك أهل المذاهب الأربعة وغيرها لا سيما وكثير منهم قد تلبس ببعض المقالات الأصولية وخلط هذا بهذا فالحنبلي والشافعي والمالكي يخلط بمذهب مالك والشافعي وأحمد شيئا من أصول الأشعرية والسالمية وغير ذلك ويضيفه إلى مذهب مالك والشافعي وأحمد وكذلك الحنفي يخلط بمذاهب أبي حنيفة شيئا من أصول المعتزلة والكرامية والكلابية ويضيفه إلى مذهب أبي حنيفة وهذا من جنس الرفض والتشيع لكنه تشيع في تفضيل بعض الطوائف والعلماء لا تشيع في تفضيل بعض الصحابة والواجب على كل مسلم يشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمدا رسول الله

This is one of the most beautiful remark of Imam Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah in his most feted work entitled Minhaaj-us-Sunnah!
Summary:- Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullaah said: Those who claim attachment to the Sunnah, then from them, the Kullabees claim, that the Karaamees are nothing and the Karaamees (Karaameeyah) claim, the Kullaabees are nothing and the Ash'arees say, As-Saal`mees are nothing and likewise the Saal`mees say Ashaa'irah are nothing. And the Saal`mees author book upon al-Ahwazee mentioning the disfavours of Ash`aree (madh`hab) and the Ash`arees pen book upon Ibn Asaakeer in opposition to the Saal`mees from every aspect and mentioning the harms and deviations of them.
Similary the people amongst the four Madh`habs and numerous others, who don certain discourses of fundamentals while mixing and matching one with other so the Hanbalees, Maalikees & Shaf'ees have riffled and amalgamated the madh`hab of Ahmed, Maalik & Shaf'ee and they add things from the usool of Ash`areeyah & Saal`miyah to the Madh`hab of Maalik, Shaf'ee & Ahmed which are infact free from these (Ash`aree & Sal`mee Usool)

Insha Allaah as for the usool of Mu`tazila and Kullaabiyyah that has blatantly peeped inside the current sects of sub-continent that ascribe towards hanafee madh`hab then I will mention in due course.

Ghazaalee The Imam Of Soofees On Abee Haneefah rahimahullaah
Important Note:- This is not the Salafee position but rather the position of Ghazaalee rahimahullaah. We shall clarify what the most balanced position is upon Imam Abee Haneefah rahimahullaah!
So those whose shelves have been stuck up with Ihyaa Uloom-ud-Deen should know the position of this author upon their great Imam whom they merely CLAIM to blind follow!
Summary:-
Ghazaalee rahimahullah says:
