Pearls for the Salafiyyeen: A series of preferred opinions of al-Allaamah ibn Uthaymeen Introducing, bi idhnillaah, a selection of preferred opinions of the Imaam, the Salafi, al-Faqeeh, al-Allaamah Aboo Abdillaah Muhammad ibn Saaleh ibn Uthaymeen, which he chose and as the ?qawl ur-raajih? on different fiqh issues during his explanation of ?Zaad al Mustaqnaa? ? (a treatise on Hanbali fiqh), which is entitled ?as-Sharh al-Mumta? alaa Zaad il Mustaqnaa? ?. Over 900 of these preferred opinions are collected in a book ?Tawjeeh ur-Raaghibeen ilaa ikhtiyaaraat as-Shaikh ibn Uthaymeen? by Muhammad adh-Dhiyaab. And all success lies with Allaah! We continue with:
| quote: |
The appropriateness of saying ?ghufraanak? upon coming out from the toilet. The preferred opinion of al-Allaamah ibn Uthaymeen: It is said: the appropriateness is that when a persons bodily harms have been removed, he remembers the harms of his sins, so he calls upon Allaah to remove the harms of sins, just as He blessed him in removing his bodily harms. So this is the appropriate meaning from the aspect of remembering something due to something else. The Shaikh said, ?And the first is correct.? (i.e. the saying of Ibn ul-Qayyim (rahimahullaah) above.? |

Yes, he was. But he was not a muta'assib nor a muqallid - an accusation which some poor individuals have levied against the 'Ulamaa' in recent times. Refer to the statement of Hammaad al-Ansaaree regarding ascription to a madhhab as understood by the Salafee 'Ulamaa' past and present. |

Assalaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullah Shaikh Yahyaa al-Haajurree mentioned in his lecture on Explanation of Rawdatun-Nadiyyah (11)(which was delivered in UK) that the hadeeth abt saying ghufranaak upon coming out of the toilet is weak. Also Shaykh Fawzee Al Athari said the same thing in his recent visit to darul hadeeth. and Allaah knows best. wa'alaikum assalaam. abu ayyub al bukhari

The hadeeth of 'Aa'ishah...
| quote: |
كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا خرج من الخلاء قال: غفرانك |
|
...is reported by al-Bukhaaree in al-Adab al-Mufrad (no. 293), Abu Daawood (no. 30), at-Tirmidhee (no. 7), who graded it hasan, ad-Daarimee (no. 676), and several others. Imaam Muhammad Naasir ud-Deen al-Albaanee declared it saheeh in Irwaa' ul-Ghaleel (no. 52). Also, Ibn Khuzaymah reported it (no. 90) and declared it saheeh, as did al-Haakim (1/158). an-Nawawee also declared it saheeh in Sharh al-Muhadh-dhab (2/79). Takhreej taken from ar-Rawd ul-Murbi' (p. 20) and ash-Sharh al-Mumti' (1/84). And Allaah Jal wa 'Alaa knows best. |
