Walaykum Salaam Wahrahmetullahi Wabarakatuh, Brother, I don't know the authenticity of Pickthall's translation, but why don't you refer to the translation of Muhsin Khan, it's known to be pretty authentic, and the translator is known to be upon authentic Aqeedah as far as I'm aware, inshaAllah.
