Asalaamulaiykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatu, A Salafi friend of mine will be travelling to Syria for a year, as part of his Arabic degree at a university here in the UK. The university chose Syria for him, so he has no choice. He would like to know if there are any Salafi Scholars or students of knowledge that he could benefit from during his stay in Syria. Insha Allah if anyone can provide any recommendations by the well known scholars for any students of knowledge or scholars in Syria this would be very helpful. Baraka Allaah feekum, Wasalaamulaiykum.

akhee iam your brother from syria my advice for this brother : dont think about going to syria , beware of going here there is no olama and afew few of students iam syrian and i dont know exept abiut 4 good salafi brothers here !!! sofee are the almost of people . i am trying to go from here to dammaj as soon as possible in shaa allah this is what can i help u with wallahu 'lam wassalam alaykom abo bakr alshamy from damascus - Syria
