  As-Salaamu'Alaikum wa'Rahma tu'Llah,

I'm looking for evidence regarding the impermissibility of a marriage that is done w/o two witnesses. I know of quite a few situations where the man married with the wali, the sister or without the sister present, and only a single witness or even no witnesses. I found some ahadith regarding there being no marriage without the presence of at least two trustworthy witnesses. Are those marriages in sin, should they remarry, or is there any narration or opinion based upon that from amongst the imams of this 'asr from Ahlus-Sunnah wal'Jamaa'ah as-Salafiyoon deeming it permissible to marry with the presence of one witness or no witnesses?
