Bismillah walhamdulillah wa salaatu wa salaamu ala rasulillah, amma bad: We, the Shura Board of Masjid Ahlul Quran wa Hadeeth, of DC, wish to inform our brothers and sisters that due to unexpected recent events (the resignation of our Imam as well as inconsistencies in planning and preparation for our program, etc.), we are compelled to cancel our Conference and Fundraiser originally scheduled for May 28-29, 2004. At this time, we deem it necessary to concentrate and consolidate our efforts from within the Masjid, which is an enormous task within itself. We apologize for any inconvenience we have caused in this process, and at the same time we would like to kindly ask you to help us in our efforts of paying off a balance of about $94,000, of which $47,000 (noninterest payments) is due on 7/04, or else we lose not only the Masjid, but the preceding $107,000 which has been paid thus far. We kindly ask you to help us keep the only Salafi Masjid in Washington, DC, open by sending us your donations immediately. We are accepting cash, checks and money orders.
