al-Hamdu-Lillaahi Rabbil-'Aalameen was-Salaatu was-Salaamu 'alaa Ashrafil-Anbiyaa?e wal-Mursaleen, wa ba'd: as-Salaam 'alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahi wa-Barakaatuhu, A fatwaa has been issued by Darul Uloom Deoband (INDIA) favoring the ban on Cow Slaughter in India & the following is an interview which appeared in the Times of India dated 1/03/2004 with one of its heads who says that Hindus should consider Muslims as their "YOUGER BROTHERS" and he also says "Countless Islamic scholars have argued that Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs etc cannot be treated as Kafirs. They follow their faiths and have their own scriptures" & he praises the Sufis & says that it was they who propagated Islaam. Asalaamu Aialykum, Jazakallaahu Khair Akhi for this post exposing the miskeen hizbees of the deoband. Akhi, can you verify the legitimacy of this source (the India Times). As far as I'm concerned your are thiqah. But, I posted this article on the bullatin board in a hizbe masjid where I live.
