	assalaamu alaykum, I read a biography of Hamoud bin Uqla ash-Shu?aybee and i was wondering if any of the brothers know if he was salafee since he was the teacher of salman al awdah! jazakaAllaahu khair

	He was a khaarijee takfeeree, one of the main reference points of the new wave of extreme Qutubiyyoon (along with 'Abdullaah al-Ghunaymaan, Sulaymaan al-'Ulwaan, and Naasir al-'Umar). He used to pop his head up during the times of fitnah and give bogus fataawa based on emotions and ignorance. Shaykh Faalih Bin Naafi' (and others) refuted him and stated that he is incapable of giving fatwa and is not worthy of being listened to.
