Love for Ahlus-Sunnah wa Hadeeth Aboo Zaahid
The first lecture was by our noble elder and brother Abdul-Hafeeth who went into a brief but detailed summary of the origin of how this repugnant creed started in the city of Philadelphia. The atmosphere was great and our brother has been warning against their corrupt principles since the early 90's.
The second lecture was by our beloved brother the Imaam of Masjid ahlul-Hadeeth Abdur-Razaaq who brought ayat after ayat and narration after narration which affirmed Allah being over His creation. His talk was particularly important since he had a face to face encounter with some of the callers of this evil movement a few months back.
Our third lecture was delivered by our brother Khashif Khan in which he spoke passionately about understanding the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger upon their apparent meanings. If Allah wills this talk will be a death blow to the shubaa'hat that the Kitab was Sunnah is understood by way of metaphors and not its apparent meanings.
The forth talk was by our brother Hasaan as-Somailee in which he clearified - Who are the Salaf and Who are the Salafys? - It was a detailed response to one of the Ash'ari callers who claimed that Salafiyyah was started by the misguided Muhammad Abdu. Our brother Hasaan as-Somailee played for the audience the recording of this Ash'ari Devil and then refuted him point by point. May Allah reward our dear brother Hasaan.
Lastly,after salatul-Mugrib our brother and teacher Abul-Hasaan Malik gave a moving exhortation in defense of Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and exposing the lies that his student Imam adh-Dhahabee spoke ill of him. He explained how this was the way of the people of innovation that they attack the people of Hadeeth and lie on the scholars of the religion. He also made clear how the great Imam adh-Dhahabee went to extremes in prasing Shaykhul-Islam in numerous biographies in which he said, " The imam, the scholar, the haafidh, the hujjah { decisive proof },a unique individual etc.
These gatherings reminded me of the statement of our beloved Prophet " There will never cease to be a group from my Ummah victorious upon the TRUTH. No one will be able to harm them from those who forsake them until the HOUR is established. "
