  Assalamu Alaikum

Shaikh al-Allamah Salih al-Fawzan (Hafidhaullah), said in His book 'I a'natul Mustafeed', the Explanation of Kitab at-Tawheed of Shaikhul-Islam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab, (when explaining the Chapter:
Allah (Subhanahu wata a'la) says, "It is not you who guides whom you love..."):

quote:

They are 7 jurists who used to be returned to for fatwa......(at that time in the world)

The shaikh mentioned Imam Sayyid ibnul Mussayib (rahimahullah) as the seventh one (from the 7 Jurists). Can anybody tell me Who the other 6 Jurists were?  Could one of the tulab ul ilm or anybody help?

Barrak Allahu Feekum.

  wa 'alaikumus salaam

I believe the other six (at that time) being refered to would have been:

1) Sulayman ibn Yasar

2) Urwa ibn Zubayr

3) Ubaydullaah ibn 'Abdullaah ibn Utbah ibn Mas'ood

4) Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abee Bakr

5) Kharija ibn Zayd ibn Thabit

6) Abu Bakr ibn Abdur-Rahman

As they are commonly known as The Seven Fuqaha' of Madeenah. WaAllaahu 'alam, if anyone knows differently please feel free to correct me insha'Allaahu ta'ala.
