  Revive a Sunnah: Read Surah Bani Israil and Az-Zumar before Sleeping.

ııııııı ııııııııı ııı ıııı ıııı ııııı ıııııııııı -ııı ıııı ıııı ıııı- ııı ııııııı ıııııı ıııııııı ııııııııı ııııııı ıııııııııııı.

Aisha  (May Allah be pleased with her) said, "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wouldn't go to sleep until he read Az-Zumar and Bani Isra'il."

Collected by At-Tirmithi (3405), Ibn Khuzaymah (1/126/2) Al-Hakim (2/434) Ahmed (2/68 /122) At-Tirmithi graded this hadeeth as being Hasan Ghareeb. And Shaykh Al-Albani said :The men in the isnad are trustworthy [ Silsilahtus Saheehah 641 ] (may Allah have mercy on all the mentioned Imams )

Benefits for this hadeeth;

Surah Isra's other name is Bani Israil and some chapters in the Quran have more than one name.

Ibn Khuzayah title a chapter in his Saheeh "  The Recommendation for Reading Bani Isra'il

Imam At-Tibi 743H (may Allah have mercy on him)  commented on this hadeeth in his explanation for Mishkah Al-Musaabih. He wrote, "The meaning of this hadeeth could be that when it came time to go to sleep (at night) or any time he wanted to go to sleep ,it was his habit to read these two chapters. It was his practice to read these chapters anytime before going to sleep. We can't say that this practice only applies to sleep at night (from the wording) in the hadeeth.

  As-salamu alaykum!
Does this mean that one can select some surahs over others in certain actions, like before sleeping? Some say, that the only surah that should stand out is Fatihah, because Allaah legislated it so and that all other Surahs are on the same level so one cannot choose some over others, is this position correct? Their argument is also that in this way we would become like Jews or Christians who picked some parts of revelation over others. So how does one answer such claims and are they true in particular cases?
Barakallahu feekum.
As-salamu alaykum!
