Topic: Why doesn't Mikaa'eel (the Angel) laugh???

Moosaa    -- 09-02-2003 @ 12:00 AM
  On the authority of Anas ibn Maalik (radhiyallaahu 'anhu), the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) said to Jibreel ('alayhis-salaam):

"Why is it that I have never seen Mikaa'eel laughing?"

Jibreel replied, "He has not laughed since the Hellfire was created."

This authentic report was collected by Imaam Ahmad (3/224).  Al-Albaanee called it hasan in Silsilatul-Ahaadeethis-Saheehah (#2511).

May Allaah protect us all from the Hellfire.

  As-Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuhu

Members of SalafiTalk.Net can now add quotes from the Noble Quran into their messages.

Instructions

To quote a verse, using the following syntax (but do not include a space betwee "qn" and "=". It has only been removed here so that you don't get the actual verse instead of seeing what you ought to write:

[qn =2,255]

So this would give:

Al-Baqarah (2):255

Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter . And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursî extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. [This Verse 2:255 is called Ayat-ul-Kursî.]

To quote a series of verses use the following:

[qn =78,1,10]

Again be sure to remove the space that exists, there must be no spaces. This will quote the first ten verses of Surah 78, an-Naba.

An-Naba (78):1-10

What are they asking (one another)? About the great news, (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism, the Qur'ân, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.), About which they are in disagreement. Nay, they will come to know! Nay, again, they will come to know! Have We not made the earth as a bed, And the mountains as pegs? And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.). And have made your sleep as a thing for rest. And have made the night as a covering (through its darkness),

We hope this is of use to our Members.
