The Prophet stood while delivering the Jumu'ah khutbah upon the Minbar, delivered lessons while sitting on an elevated place - and in each case the Sahabah sat facing him (salallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam)
Facing the Imaam during the Khutbah is the Confirmed Sunnah, by Imaam Muhammad Nasrud Deen Al Albaanee (rahimahullaah)
